Strawberry Orange Smoothie

Most mornings, we greet the day with a large glass of 100% orange juice; but last week, my husband brought home a case of COVID from the movie theater matinee he could not wait to see.

All is well, we are both vaxxed and boosted, and our doctor sent in a scrip for a course of anti-virals.

Still, I wanted to up his recuperative regimen, so I started to check out smoothies, and came across a version of this from the

American Heart Association.

Of course, theirs calls for non-fat yogurt and Stevia, neither of which I keep in the house, or will ever. I like my foods whole and full of fat, not chemicals added to make stuff taste kindof the way they did before taking all that fat way.

Seriously, you do you; if you want to use non-fat yogurt and sugar substitute, go for it and enjoy.

INGREDIENTS
•10 frozen, unsweetened strawberries
•1 cup plain Greek yogurt
•1/2 cup 100% orange juice
•1/2 teaspoon sugar

Note: this amount will make two servings.

Add all of the ingredients to a blender or food processor and pulse until well blended.

Serve immediately.
