Yeh.
So, the actual name for this drink, from the nice folx at delish.com is “Pink Señorita,” but I am not fully behind that as a drinks name, so my version is, and much more clearly, named “Tequila Lemonade.”
And it is pretty darned refreshing on a warm summer’s afternoon or evening, gathered around a table or firepit with friends. As a bonus, it is also a snap! to toss together a large pitcher, so, let us go…
INGREDIENTS
•2-1/4 cup pink lemonade
•1 cup tequila
•1/2 cup orange liqueur
•1/4 cup lemon juice
•Lemon slices
Note: the original recipe called for Triple Sec, but I found this kinda cunnin’ Gran Gala liqueur – which is a combination of orange liqueur and Italian VSOP brandy – at my local liquor superstore, and looked no further; it is my new secret weapon in the drinks department!
Stir the lemonade together with the tequila, liqueur, and lemon juice in a large pitcher, then stash in the fridge for a few hours to fully chill.
When ready, serve over ice with a lemon slice and a splash of sparkling water. I used sparkling pink grapefruit, which was nice, but have also used sparkling blackberry and citrus seltzer, which I thought a bit more… refreshing.
