A niece was moving, her parents were helping, and we had mom for the weekend; so a dinner was called for, but, it needed to be pretty simple to prepare, given the uncertainties of who was coming when and from where.
For a no-fuss, but special, family dinner, you can hardly miss with salmon in the air fryer; and the sweet chili glaze is a gluten-free (because of the Tamari) bonus! Paired with Brown Rice Noodles, nobody left the table hungry.
INGREDIENTS
•3 tbsp sweet chili sauce
•2 tbsp lower sodium Tamari
•1 tbsp Chili Infused Honey (or plain honey)
•1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
•Salmon fillets
Whisk the chili sauce together with the Tamari, honey, and ginger.
Heat your air fryer to 400º.
Brush your air fryer basket with a bit of olive oil and arrange the fillets, skin side down, in a single layer.
Brush the salmon with the chili sauce mixture and cook until golden-brown on top and the flesh flakes at the end when gently tested with a fork, seven to nine minutes.
Note: if time allows, you can brush the salmon with the glaze and let it rest for 30 minutes before air frying.
