SALT?!?
Yep – and nicely seasoned, too, if I do say so myself.
A bunch of recipes seem to call for seasoned salt anymore – and I finally gave in when I made my first batch of Soul Rolls. Now, I kinda have to wonder why it ever took me so long to come to the party! Oh well, better late, I guess, than never…
My Great Aunt Rose was rather partial to Jane’s Krazy Mixed-Up Salt, but this recipe is more an hommage, I think, to Lawry’s version of salt with a little sumpin’ sumpin’ extra added.
INGREDIENTS
•2 tbsp salt
•2 tsp sugar
•1/2 tsp paprika
•1/4 tsp turmeric
•1/2 tsp garlic powder
•1/4 tsp cornstarch
Pop all the ingredients into a bowl and whisk to combine.
HOW EASY IS THAT?
I usually just double the recipe to keep a goodly supply on hand; it works a treat in just about any recipe.
