One of our fave warm weather dinners is marinated, then grilled lamb chops.
Now, with the weather more suited to our northeastern Illinois home, how cool is it that I came across a method for air frying that is pretty much spot on with grilling?
Of course, I still used my marinade; which works a treat for steaks and pork chops and, mebbe even chicken? I honestly have not tried that yet, but now that I think on it, I think that I might need to play around.
Stay tuned for the chicken, but you can make the lamb chops right now!
Well…
more than likely tomorrow; you are gonna want to give the lamb chops overnight in the marinade for best results.
INGREDIENTS
•6 or 8 lamb loin chops
Marinade:
•1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
•1/2 cup vegetable oil
•2 tbsp Dijon mustard
•3 cloves garlic
•1 tsp hot sauce
•2 tsp dried onion
•2 tsp dried shallot
•1 tsp dried thyme
•1 tsp dried rosemary
•1 tsp dried parsley
•1 tsp black pepper
•1 tsp Aleppo pepper
•1 tbsp Sherry Peppers Sauce*
•1 tsp Cajun Power Spicy Garlic Pepper Sauce – or your fave hot sauce, to taste
*No Sherry Peppers Sauce? No Problem! Simply add a bit of decent sherry (none of that “cooking” stuff) and a dash or three of your fave hot sauce, to taste.
Whisk the marinade ingredients together until well blended – an immersion blender works a treat for this.
Arrange the chops in a container large enough to hold them all in a single layer; or place them in a gallon-sized zipper bag and pour the marinade over.
Turn the chops to evenly coat (or seal and flip the bag around a couple of times) to coat evenly, then cover tightly and stash in the fridge for a few hours or, always more better, overnight; turning the chops over a time or two if you think to.
When ready to cook your chops, preheat your air fryer to 350º.
Note: some air fryers to don require preheating, check your owner’s manual.
Arrange your chops in a single layer on your air fryer rack.
Note: do not crowd your chops. If your air fryer rack or basket is not big enough to hold all of your chops in a single layer, split them into batches and keep warm while finishing any remaining chops.
Air fry your chops for nine minutes, then flip them over and return to the air fryer for another seven or eight minutes.
Turn the air fryer off and allow the chops to rest inside for five minutes before serving.
If air frying in batches, go ahead and pull the chops out and transfer to a plate in a warm oven while you finish the rest of the chops.
Tasty, and perfection with my horseradish sauce! Those details, tomorrow.
