Burger & Sammich Spread

Not to dance all around it and all, but, well, you know we probably should not call this tasty sauce by its inspiration.

You know…

“Two all beef patties special sauce…” and all that. Is this that sauce?

Mebbe. Mebbe not.

It is a fine burger and sammich spread, though; and wicked simple to toss together.

INGREDIENTS
•1/2 cup mayonnaise
•1/4 cup diced spicy sweet pickles
•1/4 cup creamy French dressing
•1 tsp sugar
•1/8 tsp pepper
•1 tsp dried onion flakes

Stir all of the ingredients together, cover, and stash in the fridge for at least one hour to let the flavors blend.

A note on the dried onion flakes: dehydrated onion is called for in a lot of recipes trying to copy sauces from fast food chains, and, really, it seems to add just the right bit of bite to them. You just really do need to allow that hour or so rest in the fridge for the onion to sort of melt into the sauce.

And then?

Slather it on your burgers and other sammiches as you will.
