Ranch Pickles

I was going through my latest Taste of Home magazine issue, and came across this kinda cunning sounding hack:

pickles and ranch dressing mix.

No, no, you do not make the ranch dressing and dip the pickles in it, though that, too, is a tasty treat…

You add the ranch dressing mix to the jar of pickles, close the jar, shake the heck out of it, and stash in the fridge for a day.

This, I had to try!

INGREDIENTS
•24 oz dill pickle chips*
•1 oz pkg ranch dressing mix

*Next time, I am gonna use Famous Dave’s. I should’ve this time, but went for cheap, and, while I like this pickle hack; Mt. Olive is not one of my fave pickle brands.

Pour ranch mix over pickles and brine in jar.

Close tightly and shake until the dressing is well blended in.

Chill for 24 hours before serving.

These were… to be honest, very good, but a bit salty for my taste, which is more than likely because of the brand of pickles. Still and all, very nice on Pepperjack burgers with Medianoche Mayonnaise, Onion Jam, and baby arugula.
