Air Fryer Marinated Salmon

One of our local markets has been killing it with their seafood of late, great quality and about half the price of my local fishmonger, which works really well with my goal to get more seafood into our diets.

I have been doing cedar plank salmon, but they had these plain filets on an extra special deal, so I picked up a couple and found an…

interesting recipe, which called for marinating the salmon in Catalina dressing before air frying.

Interesting, and delicious!

INGREDIENTS
•Salmon filet, skin on
•Catalina salad dressing*
•Steak seasoning
•Sliced lemon

*Not certain about bottled salad dressing? Check out my home made version!

Place the salmon in a flat bottomed dish and pour the Catalina over to cover.

Set aside for 20 minutes, then remove from the dressing and arrange, skin side down, on a parchment lined air fryer tray.

Heat your air fryer to 400º and season the salmon with your preferred steak seasoning and top with the lemon slices.

Place the salmon in the hot air fryer and cook for ten minutes.

Pull the tray out and rotate it, then continue to cook for another ten minutes or so until the salmon is done and flakes nicely.

Note: each air fryer seems to cook a little differently. I am on my third, and largest air fryer and mine seems to cook most anything best at 400º, and for a little bit longer than whatever recipe I am using calls for, so keep and eye on your salmon and go by your own best judgement.
