Peach Butter Baked Beans

There is still time far a backyard gathering, so you might want to keep this tasty little baked bean hack in your back pocket.

I start with a can of baked beans, a can of black beans, and a jar of my own Peach Butter, though store bought is fine, too. You can make this in next to no time, and, if you don’t tell folx, most won’t realize that you started with canned beans. By the way, a small can of baked beans was enough. combined with the black beans to serve four to six folx as a side dish.

INGREDIENTS
•16 oz can baked beans
•15 oz can black beans, drained and rinsed
•8 oz Peach Butter
•2 tbsp ketchup
•1 tbsp Sherry Peppers Sauce*
•1 tsp dried shallot
•1/2 tsp curry powder
•1/2 tsp dried mustard
•1/2 tsp steak seasoning
•1/4 tsp lower sodium Tamari

*No Sherry Peppers Sauce? No Problem! Simply add a bit of decent sherry (none of that “cooking” stuff) and a dash or three of your fave hot sauce, to taste.

Combine the ingredients together in an oven safe casserole, then cover and pop into a preheated 350º oven for 30 minutes.

Remove the cover and bake for another 30 minutes, until thickened.

Note: if you want to make this a one pot meal and not just a wicked nice side dish, push some hot dog slices down into the bean mixture when you remove the cover.
